TYPOGRAPHIC ALPHABET
/ a typographic alphabet inspired by an architect-made chair /
Wanting to showcase an architect of color, I searched far and wide before I stumbled across this beautiful contemporary chair. The main goal was to showcase the unique circular quality and modern elegance of African architect David Adjaye’s Double Zero chair. Instead of just shaping the lines and the chair to the shape of a letter-form, I used the characteristics of the chair as a basic rule paired with gestalt and texture to create abstract versions of each letter.
